About The Position

The UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Fiscal Services Department is seeking a motivated Accountant I. The role works with restricted and non-restricted accounts, supports multiple faculty and staff members, and requires the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. The position is based at the Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center is New Mexico’s official cancer center and the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center within a 500-mile radius. It provides cancer care statewide and conducts cancer research, clinical trials, education, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Successful completion of at least 9 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting.
• No previous experience is required.
• Finalists should be prepared to provide official educational transcripts if selected for hire.
• Applicants must provide names of three professional references.
