About The Position

Human8 is seeking an Account Strategist to serve as the commercial engine for its most strategically important accounts. This role involves not only maintaining but also expanding client relationships by protecting and growing existing partnerships while actively seeking new opportunities across the decision-making unit (DMU) and beyond. The ideal candidate is a commercially minded, client-obsessed growth driver who thrives on change, leads with curiosity, and leverages AI as a competitive advantage. Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in consulting, insights, or a client-facing strategic role.
  • Proven examples of DMU expansion and/or net-new client acquisition.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools in a professional context (e.g., research, synthesis, presentations, workflow automation).
  • Proven ability to grow accounts through new stakeholder engagement, strong relationship building, and compelling proposals.
  • Skilled across the full commercial cycle, from identifying opportunities and mapping DMUs to writing and presenting proposals, closing, and delivering.
  • A track record of winning new business, both through account expansion and new client acquisition, with measurable revenue results.
  • Proactive in adopting AI tools while applying sound judgment; comfortable articulating both the value and limits of AI to clients in a credible, practical way.
  • Curious, forward-looking, and thrives in ambiguity with resilience, energy, and a solutions-first approach to change.
  • Clear, direct, and collaborative; builds alignment and momentum across teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial and delivery success of a portfolio of accounts totaling 3-5M USD, with additional individual revenue goals to be defined.
  • Immerse yourself in clients’ business challenges and translate Human8’s full capabilities into tangible value.
  • Proactively expand influence across DMUs, identifying and cultivating relationships with new stakeholders.
  • Drive new business within existing accounts and lead proposal development for net-new clients.
  • Model the intelligent, ethical use of AI to accelerate insight, sharpen strategy, and multiply impact.
  • Lead yourself and your teams through change by creating a roadmap.
  • Own a clear account plan for every client: identify white space, engage untapped decision-makers, and turn cold introductions into warm, revenue-generating relationships.
  • Lead and support proposal development with commercial creativity, industry fluency, and persuasive storytelling.
  • Provide real-time strategic counsel to clients and internal delivery teams, keeping projects on track and adding value beyond the initial brief.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring deliverables address client needs, demonstrate value, and surface future opportunities.
  • Build 12-month account growth plans, tracking progress rigorously and adapting as markets or client priorities shift.
  • Pinpoint cross-sell and upsell opportunities by matching Human8’s capabilities to real client pain points.
  • Maintain pipeline discipline to ensure accurate forecasting based on well-qualified opportunities and thoughtful solutions.
  • Help clients understand how AI-enhanced insight can transform decision-making, positioning Human8 as a forward-thinking partner.
  • Champion the intelligent use of AI across your workflow, from accelerating research synthesis to enriching presentations and sharpening strategic recommendations.
  • Stay ahead of emerging AI capabilities relevant to our industry, share knowledge with peers, and constructively challenge existing processes when better approaches emerge.
  • Apply critical thinking to AI outputs—knowing when to trust the model and when to dig deeper.
  • Approach ambiguity with a solution-first mindset: when processes break, markets shift, or client needs evolve unexpectedly, see opportunity, not obstacle.
  • Lead project teams with energy and purpose, coaching members toward best-in-class delivery and modeling high-performance behaviors.
