About The Position

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Supply Chain team is responsible for collaborating with suppliers and P&W’s product development teams (IPT’s). The candidate should be customer focused, have strong communication skills, and demonstrates the ability to deliver results. New Product Introduction has responsibility to all aspects of supply chain management; sourcing strategy, negotiation, order placement, and delivery assurance. NPI supports efforts using cutting edge technologies and designs in support of military and commercial next generation engine platforms. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills & the ability to leverage working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Materials, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Regional Offices, Programs and multiple suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain, manufacturing, industrial management, or related field; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
  • U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
  • DoD Clearance: Secret

  • Understands how to interpret blueprints, specifications, and associated flow down

Responsibilities

  • Creating the sourcing strategy and coordinating source selection alignment
  • Proactively tracks and manages supplier work in process (WIP), identifies risks to planned delivery, and maintains promise dating
  • Maintain purchase orders including but not limited to technical definition changes, supplier exceptions, pricing and delivery.
  • Use minimum requirements standard work as a competitive advantage
  • Evaluating Technology and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (TRL & MRL) for efforts
  • Coordinate resolution of quality issues, QN’s, and RCCA for supplier quality escapes
  • Identify and manage supplier risks to program industrial plans
