About The Position

Pepperl+Fuchs, a leader in industrial sensor and intrinsically safe explosion protection technologies, is seeking an experienced Account Specialist for Inside Sales. This role requires a strong background in industrial automation and/or enterprise mobility sales. The Account Specialist will be responsible for all sales activities within their designated territory, focusing on maintaining existing business, building relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and driving new sales for Enterprise Mobility solutions in the Industrial and Hazardous Area sectors. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years minimum of related sales experience.
  • Ability to read and write reports and business correspondence for a diverse audience.
  • Ability to learn technical product knowledge and Siebel (CRM) software, and Movex (ERP).
  • Ability to use innovative sales techniques in the applicable sales environment. A focus on remote selling/virtual selling is needed.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as the use of the intranet and the internet.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting sales targets.
  • Conducting outreach to current and prospective customers using virtual presentations, telephone calls, emails, etc. at all designated territory/priority accounts, focused on creating and closing opportunities consistent with sales platform requirements.
  • Meeting or exceeding daily/weekly required quantity of customer contacts with accounts via various communication channels.
  • Providing customers with new product information, technology training, and actively participating in new product launches and continually keeping up to date on new systems and products.
  • Qualifying, processing, and distributing sales leads as required to the rest of the sales organization.
  • Collaborating with outside sales regarding sales opportunities and hand off high value accounts as needed.
  • Maintaining and building relationships with external and internal personnel in numerous departments.
  • Offering accounts customer service including pricing, quotes, delivery and technical assistance, with the appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Collaborating with customers to define product requirements, in line with the business strategy, to close opportunities.
  • Maintaining a sense of ownership for orders from initiating through installation, including expediting as necessary.
  • Reporting daily activities and maintaining priority accounts in CRM software.
