Under general supervision, manages complex payroll and leave processes for all employee categories by maintaining and auditing accrual balances, monitoring time and attendance accuracy, and processing payroll-related adjustments in compliance with university policies, collective bargaining agreements, and state regulations. This role also reconciles payroll and leave data, coordinates third-party deductions, supports system testing and upgrades for time and absence modules, and prepares required payroll reports for internal and external agencies. The Account Specialist serves as a primary payroll resource for employees and departments by resolving timekeeping and accrual inquiries, ensuring accurate electronic payment elections, supporting payroll document management, and providing responsive customer service across Student, Merit, Professional & Scientific, and Faculty payroll functions.
