About The Position

The Account Representative role is a dual role with a focus on collections, sales, and promoting financial products. The position involves providing guidance and service to customers effectively to retain and acquire new clients, contributing to the achievement of sales and collection goals. The representative will manage collections in an assigned territory, evaluating accounts, and conducting field visits and calls manually or using an auto-dialer. They will identify customer needs or those of new prospects to help them choose the most suitable financial product based on their needs and payment capacity. The role also involves guiding customers nearing loan payoff to renew their loans through attractive offers to ensure retention. Field visits are conducted to validate employment and manage accounts that are past due or delinquent for 30 days or more, aiming to bring them current through collection, payment plans, renewal, restructuring, or other loss mitigation alternatives in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of arithmetic, languages, spelling, and grammar.
  • Accuracy and correctness in checking, posting, verifying written documents, and counting.
  • Use of calculators for simple computations, photocopiers, telephone systems, basic computer systems for simple document writing, FAX machines, and any other office equipment requiring basic and simple knowledge and skills.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with the telephone switchboard, Auto Dialer, computerized systems, and cash register.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Account and risk analysis.
  • Good documentation practices.
  • Training on offered products and their competition.
  • Knowledge of credit reports.
  • A car in good condition.
  • Driver's license.
  • Valid vehicle registration (Marbete).

Responsibilities

  • Manage collections through customer visits, making and receiving collection calls, and transferring them to the appropriate personnel if necessary.
  • Conduct sales through phone calls and to walk-in customers, including following up with interested clients.
  • Complete customer application forms, follow up on approved applications, and verify credit risk and opportunities.
  • Achieve renewal sales (RBO - Refinance Balance Only) or Restructuring.
  • Support the cash register.
  • Visit customers or their references, as assigned, for collection management following procedures.
  • Process files, references, and courtesy or collection calls to customers with past due or delinquent accounts.
  • Complete daily visit reports and enter all results of each action taken into the Oracle system.
  • Verify performance and follow-up reports.
  • Process payments received in the field or loan disbursements.
  • Prepare payment booklets.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
