About The Position

War Room is seeking an Account & Media Planning Coordinator to support campaign strategy, media planning, client management, and project execution across a growing portfolio of clients. This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of agency experience who has been involved in media planning, budget allocation, campaign strategy, and client services. You'll work closely with our Accounts, Campaign, Data, and Technical teams to help develop strategic media recommendations, support campaign execution, and ensure clients receive exceptional service and results. You'll manage day-to-day responsibilities for a portfolio of smaller clients while supporting larger accounts through media planning, reporting, budget management, and cross-functional coordination. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week in the office with the first 3 months of onboarding fully in the office. The office is located at 210 W Broadway, Vancouver and office hours are 9-5 pm.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in account management, media planning, campaign strategy, or client services within a marketing, advertising, or media agency.
  • Experience contributing to media plans, campaign recommendations, or budget allocation decisions.
  • Understanding of digital media channels and how they work together to achieve client objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with campaign performance data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence interacting directly with clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of media plans and channel recommendations aligned with client objectives, target audiences, and budgets.
  • Assist in creating strategic campaign recommendations across paid media channels, including search, social, programmatic, and emerging platforms.
  • Help build budget allocations, flighting recommendations, and media mix strategies.
  • Collaborate with Campaign Managers and Account Leads to translate client goals into actionable media plans.
  • Monitor campaign pacing and performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and strategic adjustments.
  • Participate in campaign planning and client strategy discussions.
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for a portfolio of smaller accounts, managing communication, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Present campaign updates, performance insights, and recommendations to clients.
  • Prepare reporting packages and performance summaries that connect results to client objectives.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively coordinate with internal teams to deliver value and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Support senior Account team members on larger accounts through planning, reporting, and client communications.
  • Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and project requirements across multiple client engagements.
  • Coordinate with Campaign, Data, Technical, and Creative teams to ensure campaigns are launched and executed successfully.
  • Maintain organized documentation of campaign plans, budgets, project status updates, and client requests.
  • Identify potential risks, delays, or scope changes and help facilitate solutions proactively.
