About The Position

Nuwellis is a medical device company dedicated to changing the lives of patients suffering from fluid overload with their Aquadex SmartFlow ultrafiltration therapy. They focus their efforts on understanding and meeting the critical needs associated with the treatment of fluid overload. As a global leader, they strive to make it easier for healthcare providers to quickly and gently restore fluid balance in all patients, in all settings, around the globe. Their patients are at the center of everything they do. This is an Account Manager overseeing OH/MI/IN/KY.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of disruptive med device sales experience in the cardiac space.
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional clinical partners and customers in the health care industry.
  • Understand and demonstrate proficiency in core technologies and sales tools.
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements + experience navigating the VAC process.
  • Possess a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.
  • Comfortable with travel throughout territory parameters to customer sites + domestic plane travel/overnights.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly business reviews and use the data gathered to expand utilization within hospital systems, IDNs, and outpatient settings.
  • Use value-based selling messaging to achieve sales revenue and market share targets for a specified regional territory by promoting Nuwellis Products to Health Care Professionals.
  • Effectively partner with Clinical Education Specialist to ensure the goals of the region are achieved or exceeded.
  • Actively participate on regional and national calls.
  • Effectively manage the playbook process and the QPR process.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key account personnel including prescribing clinicians, referring physicians and hospital personnel.
  • Develop physician and prescribing clinician understanding of all relevant clinical data and understanding of failed diuretic patients within the clinical guidelines of Nuwellis Therapies.
  • Set up and execute marketing and training programs that drive market development/training at a center level.
  • Provide a field based broad and deep understanding of complex technical principles pertaining to Nuwellis products and therapies.
  • Provide forecasting targets to Sales Management.
  • Grow Nuwellis therapies in existing accounts and identify new centers to adopt therapy focusing on high growth potential accounts within region.
  • Develop consultative role to promote therapy development, facilitate relationship building, and provide necessary customer service within current customer base.
  • Practice effective account management, KOL management, promote the therapies, maintain product and technical competency and provide market information (MIS) on a timely basis.
  • Ensure coverage of all accounts on the basis of customer segmentation within territory in agreement with Sales leadership to maintain optimum level of exposure and effective time management.
  • Strategic development and execution of market development activities.
  • Manage marketing expenses and travel budget in a responsible fashion.
  • Communicate marketing plans / intelligence/competitor activity promptly, including potential sales leads, and information regarding product price or account activity to appropriate company personnel.
  • Recognize and understand competitive products, features, strengths in relation to the company's products and provide the information in agreed format on weekly basis to manager.
  • Strategically develop regional physician and prescribing Clinician KOL's to drive market awareness and adopting of Nuwellis Therapies.
  • Acquire and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product and therapy knowledge.
  • Responsible to participate around his/her Individual Development Plan in consultation with the Director of Sales and Operations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate account and territory records using CRM.
  • Complete administrative reporting as assigned (for example: expense reports, account profiles and analysis, daily planners, competitive updates, etc.)
  • Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of and adherence to any corporate or government compliance issue.
  • Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with the relevant Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
