About The Position

The Account Manager role at HB Build is a client-facing role filled by a self-starting individual who is highly skilled in balancing autonomy and collaboration. This individual will leverage local connections to generate new business opportunities and support our existing clients and partners (with an emphasis on user targets) in understanding and embracing HB Build’s unique value proposition.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience in interior construction, or related building products.
  • Proven track record generating revenue, meeting quota, and improving gross margins.
  • Demonstrated success winning new business with architecture & design firms, corporate clients and general contractors.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills, financial acumen and experience with pricing/margin management.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent) and disciplined forecasting.
  • Established network or the ability to quickly build relationships in the local market.
  • Hunter mindset balanced with consultative selling.
  • Excellent communicator, presenter and relationship builder.
  • Results‑oriented, analytical, organized, and ethically driven.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and develop a deep understanding of HB Build’s offerings to authentically bring the best solution forward to our clients and partners.
  • Use these learnings to educate and promote the advantages of prefab interior construction to clients and industry partners, positioning HB Build as a leader in innovative solutions. Marketing and brand education to include one-on-one, small group, large group engagements.
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with HB Build’s existing and new clients and partners to nurture opportunities and long-term partnerships.
  • Utilize local network connections to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the local market. Approach new business with a strategic lens – ensuring proper qualifying of leads and a “right fit” for the value HB Build brings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including design, operations, and project management, the local market leaders, etc. to ensure client needs are met effectively and internal resources are being used strategically. Maintain flexibility and willingness to support your teammates to ensure the desired outcome.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project pipeline within Salesforce.
  • Regular weekly (local) travel to networking events, customer & business influencer locations and the local HB Build Office.
