About The Position

This position is responsible for sales for Die Casting, foundry, and forging accounts, market development, building and maintaining excellent customer relationships, seeking and proposing automation and build-to-print solutions, supporting respective regional LECO TSR’s as might be required from time to time and proactively organizing activities and negotiations to successful conclusion. Provides technical leadership for our customers, develops new customers, grows existing accounts and sells solutions. This position requires significant travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /Sales/Marketing and related field (or)
  • At least 3 – 5 years technical experience in manufacturing industry environment
  • Technical knowledge of die casting, robotics and automation
  • Proficient in Computer Literature and Microsoft Office including; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to concept, qualify and apply automated solutions to customer needs
  • Experienced at presenting proposal solutions in a group setting; balanced and discrete approach when participating in meetings
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, strong problem solving skills, self-managed, accountable, excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly motivated, self-confident, and able to effectively negotiate
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; clarifies and documents customer needs; effective with written and verbal communications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain productive working relationships with current customers and accounts
  • Provide technical sales support to customers in die casting, foundry, and forging industries as well as other related LEA market segments and products
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the entire Automation group’s products and capabilities
  • Comprehend customer drawings, specifications, bills of material, & timelines to support developing cost and budget models
  • Review customer needs and develop solutions assisted by internal resources
  • Plan and implement sales strategies with supervisor
  • Meet or exceed established sales and performance targets
  • Identify and segment a broader customer database and track potential opportunities
  • Support MSR, TSR’s and LEA to discover and cultivate new customers in the key markets and/or regions assigned
  • Support the process of developing proposals with Application Engineering departments based on project plans, concepts and specs; negotiate and secure project orders
  • Track daily activities and maintain the SalesForce CRM according to the Automation Playbook guidelines
  • Review, analyze and recommend action to enhance our business processes both internally and externally, if an opportunity presents itself
  • Work with sales management to develop both new and existing opportunities for all Lincoln Electric Automation manufacturing operations
  • Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence and Win-Rate information to business and sales leadership
  • Participate in industry trade shows and local organizations to build relationships, when requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management and Corporate
  • Understand the Company’s EHS Policy and how it relates to this job.
  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as the Company’s Plant Rules and Regulations that pertain to this job.
  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EHS procedures.
  • Know that the company EHS procedures are located on the ISO drive.
  • Immediately notify the Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures.
  • Attend required EHS training.
  • Complies with ISO 14001, and other relevant standards. Support, implement and understand the intent of the EMS policy. Participates with ISO-14001 as required.
  • Complies with AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, procedures, and work instructions.
