About The Position

This account management role is built around judgment rather than a script. The company manufactures custom temperature and pressure instruments quickly. The focus of this role is on the people, understanding complex situations, and driving them forward. While the company makes instruments, the role is more about interpersonal skills and problem-solving. The Account Manager will develop and grow a sales territory from within the office, working alongside an outside Regional Sales Manager. This involves building relationships through conversation, CRM intelligence, and quote follow-up. A background in instrumentation or manufacturing is not required, as the products can be taught. The company prioritizes hiring for judgment and learning speed. Some mechanical or electrical aptitude is beneficial, such as understanding basic tools or handling home repair projects, as this helps in relating to how customers use the products.

Requirements

  • Comfort building relationships by phone.

  • Experience using CRM or business software.

Responsibilities

  • Support and grow a designated territory.
  • Build relationships with distributors, OEMs, contractors, and end users.
  • Follow up on leads, quotes, and dormant opportunities.
  • Develop new contacts and identify cross-sell potential within existing accounts.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries.
  • Run discovery conversations to understand applications and business needs.
  • Prioritize opportunities that warrant significant attention.
  • Help customers navigate technical and commercial challenges.
  • Coordinate internally to remove obstacles and act as the customer's advocate.
  • Configure Reotemp products and prepare quotes after training.
  • Follow up on open quotes with urgency, addressing questions and objections.
  • Use quote activity to uncover larger opportunities.
  • Keep opportunity records and account intelligence accurate.
  • Utilize CRM and sales tools to enhance pipeline visibility.
  • Share market and competitor insights with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing.
