About The Position

Redbarn® Pet Products is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic self-starting Account Manager for a sales position based in the South Carolina area. The Account Manager will be responsible for increasing sales revenue and maintaining customer relationships within the assigned geographical area: South East. This role requires outstanding organizational and outside sales skills, excellent communication, and the ability to understand and identify customer needs. The goal is to provide win/win scenarios for both the company and customers, creating partnerships with expectations of strong sales growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Area Manager.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue.
  • 5 years of outside sales experience required.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organizational and leadership ability.
  • Must be able to travel by air and car.
  • Must be able to travel for work 90% of the time.
  • Must reside in Phoenix, Arizona or Denver, Colorado.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience, preferably in the pet industry, or general pet industry related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage distributors assigned, including reviewing inventory and fill rates, conducting business review meetings, new item placement, ensuring pricing is in line with suggested list price, promotion participation, handling deductions, returns, and credits, coordinating shows and ordering samples, ordering samples for distributor reps, attending distributor sales meetings, setting up trainings, and setting up inside/outside blitz.
  • Manage retail locations/direct buying accounts in assigned states, including growing sales, placing new products, gaining shelf space and off-shelf secondary placement, setting up POP and signage, conducting training for store employees, conducting business reviews, setting up marketing promotions, and writing turnover orders.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management.
  • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
