About The Position

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is a long-term care pharmacy specializing in care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking an Account Manager to maintain existing client relationships, acting as a liaison between pharmacy operations and agencies. This role involves ensuring service consistency, troubleshooting concerns, providing training, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention. The ideal candidate will value strong relationships with IDD clients, possess industry/regulatory knowledge in Group Home/Residential and ICF settings, and be able to understand and apply Tarrytown Expocare’s operational capabilities in a dynamic, field-based environment with approximately 80% travel.

Requirements

  • Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPhT) or experience in a related field or equivalent years of experience or minimum 3+ years as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP)
  • Working knowledge and/or ability to learn pharmacy applications such as FrameWorkLTC, ECM, or DocuTrack preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic and paper medication administration records (MARs)
  • Reliable transportation and current (clean) Driver’s License. Frequent travel is required.
  • Must have basic computer proficiency including email and other programs (i.e Microsoft suite products)
  • Detailed individual who thrives in a fast-paced situations
  • Leading a team in a metrics-based environment
  • Must be proficient in English (reading writing, and verbal communications)
  • Must have a high school diploma, and college experience is a plus
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident, sponsorship not available

  • College experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a trusted relationship with assigned accounts and agency staff.
  • Visit client locations throughout the Pharmacy service area and provide pharmacy service audits and training in a collaborative and supportive manner.
  • Document findings in pharmacy CRM tool, submit Daily Reports via email to designated pharmacy contacts.
  • Understands the services and scope of the pharmacy to effectively communicate with the account about pharmacy processes.
  • Resolve complaints and grievances related to the pharmacy services in conjunction with the pharmacy team.
  • Assist in educating clients on the pharmacy’s processes.
  • Be an innovative liaison by discussing ideas with pharmacy staff on how to effectively meet the demands of our consumers.
  • Participates and actively engages in professional meetings, conferences, and other sponsored events as may be requested.
  • Manage complex client concerns and requests in a professional manner to ensure appropriate resolution and adequate follow- up.
