About The Position

Paradigm Education Solutions is seeking a driven, results-oriented Account Manager focused on outbound prospecting and relationship building. The primary mission is to generate pipeline from scratch through proactive outreach, qualify opportunities, close small deals, and pass larger opportunities to the Business Development team. The role also involves building lasting customer relationships post-adoption, but the emphasis is on a 'hunting' approach. This position is based in the office in Dubuque, Iowa.

Requirements

  • Comfortable with high-volume cold outreach (phone, email, social).
  • A self-starter who doesn't wait for leads to come to them.
  • Ability to develop and execute a strategic territory plan to achieve revenue targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools to manage leads, opportunities, and pipeline.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales experience.
  • 1–3 years of outbound sales or prospecting experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build foundational relationships quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting daily (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, networking) to build qualified pipeline.
  • Research and identify new lead sources across assigned markets and disciplines.
  • Follow up on marketing-generated leads with speed and persistence.
  • Validate and nurture leads to demo-ready status by understanding their unique needs.
  • Capture and maintain accurate contact information and activity in Paradigm's CRM.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each market's prospecting landscape through ongoing research.
  • Close small-to-mid-size deals independently while passing large opportunities to Business Development.
  • Build a strategic territory plan focused on retaining existing business and winning competitive accounts.
  • Track competitive adoptions across your territory and develop strategies to convert them.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned revenue targets consistently.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to support accounts after adoption.
  • Recommend marketing campaigns and provide content ideas for social media.
  • Identify events (in-person, virtual, hybrid) for evaluation and attendance.
