About The Position

Roquette is a family-owned global leader in plant-based ingredients and a leading provider of pharmaceutical excipients. We are looking for our next Key Account Manager within our Industrial Cellulosics Team, part of Roquette Bioindustry. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing a territory of existing industrial customers in North America and at the same time exploring and developing new markets, customers and applications. This position is located in Wilmington, DE or homebased.

Requirements

  • Chemistry or technical background/degree
  • At least 8 years in sales/application development/customer facing roles
  • Excels at teamwork
  • Ability to relate/adapt across multiple cultures
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive with a desire to deliver solutions with speed and agility
  • Customer Focus/ Action Oriented – Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the sales plan on a customer and territory level
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in the customer organization
  • Develop in-depth understanding of customer needs and capabilities
  • Create, maintain, and progress an opportunity pipeline to drive above-market growth in the territory
  • Scout new potential customers in previously unknown industrial markets and/or new applications.
  • Adapt product value proposition to new applications, as needed
  • Compose commercial proposals for existing and new customers, coordinating trials at potential customers, conduct business reviews with existing customers, accurately forecast customer demand, etc.
  • Establish new commercial relationships fast as well as new internal relationships with regional teams around the global
