About The Position

GFL Environmental is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team in Winnipeg! If you’re passionate about sales, customer relationships, and driving business growth, this is the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you will promote, sell, and expand our solid waste services to businesses and industrial establishments in your assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years in sales, preferably within the solid waste industry.
  • Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to build rapport.
  • Understanding of pricing, margins, and sales techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your territory effectively.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Travel within the assigned region is required.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify new market opportunities and implement strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Conduct cold calls, site visits, and networking to generate leads.
  • Provide price quotes, negotiate contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze customer waste stream needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive market activities.
  • Represent GFL at business meetings, industry events, and civic functions.
