About The Position

Aptar is seeking an Account Manager to join their team. This position will be responsible for managing and growing business for Aptar Beauty, meeting unit, revenue, and sustainable profitability growth targets. The Account Manager will drive growth within the client’s business by identifying new opportunities within customer accounts and establishing business with new prospects within targeted application fields. This role will work closely with Marketing and Business Development to grow sales of new technologies and new applications to support the Beauty strategic growth goals.

Requirements

  • College or University Degree, concentration in Business or Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of Account Management, Marketing, or related experience preferably in the Primary Packaging or Plastic Dispensing Solutions market.
  • Results oriented driver of commercial initiatives that support growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sustained results and drive new business opportunities.
  • Relationship development capability
  • Strategic thinker, able to develop creative solutions to address customer/market needs and challenges.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to operate effectively in remote setting (home office based) – self-motivated.
  • Basic technical proficiency and capability to understand relevant technology and recognize how these can be applied to generate more effective and efficient customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Naturally curious.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or comparable degree.
  • Aerosol packaging knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Beauty + Home markets preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts of specific beauty, personal care, and home care customers with an emphasis on aerosol products, applications, and packaging solutions.
  • Expand on your portfolio with a targeted list of prospective customers across strategic application fields.
  • Utilization of overall sales methodology processes and tools; establish and maintain customer call objectives.
  • Continually improve selling skills (i.e. formal training) and learn new product and technical knowledge.
  • Develop an understanding of unique customer environments (needs, problems, people, opportunities, etc), and develop a plan to improve penetration and value creation (using related Aptar tools).
  • Promote Aptar in creating and sustaining our competitive advantage with your customers.
  • Sell Aptar products to maximize profitability and increase market and customer share.
  • Add value for our customers with creativity, service, and strong relationships.
  • Leverage new products to strengthen customer connections, increase profitability, and reduce competitive threat.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with key customers and internal partners.
  • Prepare and present quotations and proposals, within our pricing structure, to win new business and drive growth.
  • Proactively involve the necessary internal resources to effectively manage your business.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to understand and target key application fields.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with customers where sales exceed $1 million annually.
  • Stay knowledgeable of competition.
  • Make our responsiveness a competitive advantage.
  • Meet or exceed budget for defined sales (quantity, revenue, sustainable profit).
