Account Manager - IT Staffing and Solutions

EVOCSDenver, CO
Hybrid

About The Position

EVOCS is an IT consulting firm dedicated to helping businesses operate more effectively, solve complex challenges, and create opportunities for growth through practical expertise and technology solutions. We partner with clients to understand their needs, identify the right technologies, and deliver solutions that improve performance and support business objectives. As a trusted technology partner, EVOCS combines technical expertise, business understanding, and a commitment to quality to deliver effective solutions and build lasting client relationships. This role is based in Denver, CO, with regular onsite presence at the client and in our local office. The Account Manager will own and grow the relationship with a strategic enterprise client, serving as the primary commercial point of contact across their technology organization. This is a land-and-expand role focused on deepening relationships with existing hiring managers, opening new business units and departments, and partnering with the recruiting team to deliver talent.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT/technology staffing sales, account management, or B2B technology sales with a quota-carrying track record
  • Demonstrated success growing an existing account — expanding into new departments, business units, or buying centers rather than only servicing inbound reqs
  • Working fluency in the technology talent market: software engineering, cloud and infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, ERP, and IT operations roles — enough to hold a credible conversation with a hiring manager about what they actually need
  • Experience managing the commercial mechanics of staffing engagements — bill rates, pay rates, markup, gross margin, and spread
  • Comfort operating in MSP/VMS-governed accounts and competing within a tiered supplier model
  • Proven ability to build multi-threaded relationships across an organization, from individual hiring managers to director- and VP-level stakeholders
  • Strong partnership instincts with recruiting teams — you treat delivery as a shared outcome, not someone else’s department
  • Disciplined pipeline and activity management, with accurate forecasting and consistent ATS/CRM hygiene
  • Ability to work independently and stay accountable in a hybrid environment while being present onsite with the client when it matters
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — this is a client-facing role that involves frequent interaction via email, calls, and meetings

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with both staff augmentation and project/SOW-based solution selling
  • Existing relationships within the Denver-area technology and enterprise market
  • Experience supporting a large, complex enterprise account with multiple concurrent hiring initiatives
  • A track record of consultant retention and redeployment, not just placements made

Responsibilities

  • Own the client relationship end to end — managing day-to-day communication with hiring managers, talent acquisition partners, and program stakeholders
  • Grow wallet share within the account by mapping the client’s organization, identifying unserved business units and technology teams, and building relationships with new hiring managers
  • Conduct requisition intake calls to qualify job orders — clarifying must-have skills, team context, interview process, bill rate parameters, and urgency — so the recruiting team can deliver targeted submittments
  • Partner daily with recruiters and delivery leadership on candidate strategy, submittal quality, and pipeline prioritization across open reqs
  • Manage the full sales cycle for contract, contract-to-hire, direct placement, and project/SOW-based engagements
  • Negotiate bill rates, markups, and terms that protect gross margin while remaining competitive against the client’s other approved suppliers
  • Track and improve account health metrics including submittal-to-interview ratio, interview-to-offer ratio, fill rate, time-to-fill, and consultant retention
  • Own consultant care and redeployment — staying close to placed contractors, anticipating extensions and roll-offs, and keeping billable headcount trending up
  • Prepare and lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs), presenting delivery performance, market intelligence, and expansion recommendations to client leadership
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and activity data in the ATS/CRM (Bullhorn, JobDiva, or similar), and report on account performance to sales leadership
  • Serve as the escalation point for delivery, performance, timekeeping, and billing issues — resolving them before they reach the client’s desk
  • Bring market intelligence back inside — competitive supplier activity, rate movement, hiring trends, and organizational changes that create opportunity

Benefits

  • Customer-centric Solutions
  • Innovation & Excellence
  • Integrity & Transparency
  • Data-driven Decision Making
