This is a field-based position around Marquette/Manistique. The Account Manager will act as a representative to the customer's organization, establishing and building relationships in local, regional, and national markets. They will manage and promptly resolve customer concerns, record and track customer interactions, and verify product installations and paperwork accuracy. The role involves selling technical products/services, training on technical specifications and program requirements, communicating program changes, and developing strategies to drive increased savings acquisition. Collaboration with engineering and program teams is expected for researching and analyzing technical specifications and requirements, as well as preparing sales forecasts. The Account Manager will also troubleshoot technical issues, determine solutions, and recommend them based on product and customer specifications. This role is responsible for maintaining current accounts and developing new accounts for medium-size kWh goals for one or more programs, managing larger, moderate risk, and complex accounts. They will act as a local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors to encourage participation and overcome barriers, design and deliver proposals, and document customer and contractor interactions. Providing input and status updates to program staff, troubleshooting technical problems, and offering technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement are also key responsibilities. The role requires travel throughout a defined territory with a larger geographic impact or a mix of low and high-tier client impact.

Requirements

5-8 years relevant industry experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Relevant industry certifications could replace work experience
Must hold a valid driver's license.
Must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record.
Must maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.
Meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations (if applicable).
Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.
Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

Act as a representative to the customer's organization.
