About The Position

The Account Manager position reports to the Strategic Sales Director Food/Commercial and interfaces with customers, company managers & staff. This position requires a high energy self-starter who can work independently, is company oriented and committed to growth strategies, customer retention, and continuous customer engagement. Exposures include CRM Sales Management Tool, E1 system, customer pricing and term details, and contracts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in sales background in food or commercial products, managing 50+ accounts.
  • Responsible for $20+ million in sales revenue.
  • 3-years+ knowledge of food/beverage/pet/packaging industries.
  • Consistent results regarding increasing sales.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Hands-on and collaborative behavior.
  • Strong written management and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Office package and data tools.
  • Undergraduate degree within a Business or Science-related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Screening of all non-medical leads to determine who will manage the account.
  • Implementation of all agreements for existing accounts.
  • Renewal of existing agreements.
  • Review and approve quarterly price increases and margins, determining necessary price increases.
  • Review monthly/weekly volumes to determine any customer issues that impact year-end results.
  • Provide an evaluation of customer issues and propose dose resolutions to the director.
  • Analyze data for the Director.
  • Seek legal approval of various contracts.
  • Provide direct support to the Director regarding customer satisfaction and complaints.
  • Determine the applications of FDA regulations for the sterilization of food/packaging/animal food/pet treats/protecting company liability.
  • Regularly monitor the customer base to determine market trends.
  • Monitor FDA recalls, FDA approvals, and FDA petitions.
  • Provide industry intel to the Director.
  • Back up sales support for when the Director is traveling or on vacation.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations to share with the Director that will help improve results.
