About The Position

As an Account Manager for Yellowstone Landscape's Wide Area Mowing Division (WAM), you will be responsible for managing crews, scheduling, client relations, and equipment maintenance. This role involves working outdoors, being on the go, and ensuring client satisfaction. Yellowstone Landscape is a large, privately-owned commercial landscaping company with career opportunities across the United States.

Requirements

• Two to five years of prior related experience with a professional landscape management firm; government contracts/interactions preferred.
• Ability to operate large riding mowers as well as loading/unloading equipment off of trailers and hauling trailers.
• Knowledge of power and hand tools used in maintenance.
• Operate power equipment including but not limited to riding mowers, string trimmers, various hand tools, pressure washers, hedge trimmers, blowers, etc.
• Perform equipment maintenance including but not limited to cleaning, fueling, greasing, checking fluid levels, inspecting, documenting, and reporting problems, etc.
• Passion for client service.
• Someone who loves a challenge - Mother Nature, budgets, short staffed on a Monday morning – you know the drill!
• Superb communication skills; knowledge of Spanish a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Turfgrass or related major preferred. Associate degree or relevant experience will also be considered.
• Strong WAM and Large Mower experience and crew / client management may take precedence.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and develop WAM crews to work efficiently and safely.
• Use the latest industry technology and applications to manage your team, schedule crews, calculate and track hours and keep to your budget.
• Serve as the main point of contact for your clients. Meet with them proactively and regularly while serving as a consultative subject matter expert.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and needs.
• Coordinate with other departments including Irrigation, Fert/Spray, Safety and the Field Support Team to promote a seamless workflow.
