About The Position

Being an Account Manager for our company is more than sales transactions. It’s about building (internal and external) relationships, delivering value, and representing our local company and the Coca-Cola brand with integrity and enthusiasm. You represent Durango Coca-Cola as a professional salesperson in all assigned existing and prospective accounts. The Account Manager promotes growth and development of our total product portfolio, executes promotional activity by securing the weekly Look of Success (LOS), builds strong business partnerships with customers, and ensures accounts are serviced and merchandised according to company standards. This role delivers budgeted volume and revenue goals using sales tools and programs for each customer to create accurate ordering, merchandising, and building of displays. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Consumer Packaged Goods sales experience preferred in Direct Store Delivery channels such as supermarkets, mass merchandisers, value, or convenience store outlets.
  • Valid driver’s license (no major traffic violations and no more than 2 minor violations in the last 3 years).
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Teams, Outlook) and iPhone/iPad devices.
  • Proven success in building strong business relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 65 lbs. repetitively, including above shoulders and below waist.
  • Push/pull manual pallet jacks with loads up to 2,600 lbs. and beverage carts up to 1,000 lbs. on level and sloped surfaces.
  • Perform frequent twisting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, and crawling.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selling in and securing promotional activities, ordering proper inventories, rotation, and Look of Success (LOS) execution for each assigned customer.
  • Partner with the Merchandiser team to service and merchandise all assigned customer locations.
  • Communicate and partner with our Drivers in small store format accounts to secure our company Look of Success (LOS), proper rotation, with organized backstock.
  • Build rapport and trust with decision makers in each store by actively listening, responding, and selling promotional activity into each account creating a mutually beneficial outcome.
  • Be proficient in the technological tools needed for sales tracking, display execution, order accuracy, and customer compliance.
  • Maintain backroom stock areas in a safely accessible stack formation within assigned storage zones and additional space when necessary.
  • Rotate products within each customer according to company standards.
  • Issue customer credits and organize returned products for driver pickup.
  • Maintain professional appearance and uphold Durango Coca-Cola’s brand image in all customer interactions.
  • Defuse customer disputes and create win-win outcomes through empathy and conflict resolution skills.
  • Understand store terminology, promotional activities, product lines, and competitive positioning.
  • Utilize company tools, data, and technology (iPhone/iPad, MS Teams, Outlook, Forms, and Margin Minder) to support sales, service, and store compliance.
  • Maintain auto insurance, mileage reporting, and vehicle servicing per Company Vehicle Use Policy (applies to both company-provided and personal vehicles).
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in the company’s safety training program.
  • Travel to various customer sites; environments and weather conditions will vary.
  • Regional day travel required.
  • Active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
