The Account Manager serves as a Sales team member for Civilian Markets at the state and local levels. This role is responsible for retaining existing revenue, generating new business within existing accounts, and new business acquisition. The position involves initiating and answering inbound/outbound sales contacts, closing sales, maintaining customer records, and identifying/qualifying prospective customers. The Account Manager will develop new and expand existing accounts, maintain a thorough understanding of government procurement procedures, and regularly review pipeline opportunities in Salesforce. The role requires working towards an individual sales quota, potentially with a target earnings bonus or sales incentive opportunity, and involves working with moderately complex territory/assigned accounts, products/services, sales, or account management processes. The Account Manager will inform customers of new product/service introductions and prices, follow up on leads with urgency, and conduct regular onsite and virtual appointments with strategic executives and business partners. Continuous learning about the business, financials, products/services, market, and account needs is expected, along with maintaining communication with the Sales Director and internal stakeholders. Attendance at industry conferences and events to represent the company is also required.
