This role is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the air carrier fueling function by directing and coordinating all fueling service functions. The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned airline customers, liaising directly with all levels of the customer's organization, from field operations to senior corporate staff. This position works closely with the local operations manager and general manager to research problems and communicate necessary information. The Account Manager collaborates with the customer to determine strategies for maximizing service and recommends new business opportunities. This role requires extensive knowledge of the assigned airline's business and provides support to management in deal negotiations, contract development, and other business development or alliance development projects. The position involves reporting and recording data using Excel spreadsheets with Micro Formulas, representing the Company in a positive manner, modeling ethical business behavior and integrity, and reviewing records and reports to ascertain data required for planning department operations. Additionally, the Account Manager assures adherence to safety policies and procedures, reports all accidents and injuries, and investigates ways to prevent re-occurrence, while maintaining effective relations with customers and meeting Company's Attendance standards. The role also includes supervisory responsibilities for the Fueling department, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, employee recognition, addressing issues, and ensuring employees complete company training programs.
