About The Position

The Account Manager owns all builder relationships within their assigned branch territory. They are responsible for growing revenue within existing accounts, driving new community starts, protecting gross margin, and mentoring the Sales Rep in their territory. AMs receive BDM-sourced accounts via handoff and are also expected to independently develop new builder relationships.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in new construction sales or account management in residential construction trades
  • Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing, community planning, and builder buying cycles
  • CRM proficiency required — pipeline management is a core expectation
  • Comfortable managing multiple active builder relationships simultaneously across a geographic territory

  • Established relationships with builders, purchasing managers, or construction managers in assigned territory preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow all active builder accounts within the assigned branch territory
  • Drive new community starts within existing builder accounts — maintain relationships with superintendent, purchasing, and construction management
  • Protect blended GM% across all territory jobs — push spot-lot and turnkey mix
  • Independently prospect and develop new builder relationships within the territory
  • Manage pipeline in CRM with weekly updates — opportunities, proposals, expected close dates
  • Coordinate with Inside Sales Manager on proposal turnaround and community setup
  • Mentor Sales Rep in territory — ride-alongs, pricing coaching, and community start strategy
