About The Position

Bridge Specialty Group is seeking an Account Manager to join their growing team. The Account Manager is responsible for quoting renewal business in a timely, efficient, professional, and accurate manner, while also focusing on growing revenues. This role involves interacting with company and retail agent personnel diplomatically and knowledgeably to build positive relationships, increase revenues, and retain policies. The Account Manager will collaborate with other renewal business underwriters on production and profitability for the commercial department's renewal business segment.

Requirements

  • Minimum education High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Property Casualty License or successfully complete Property Casualty licensing requirements within 90-days of hire-date.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) from four-year college or university or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2 – 3 years' experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

  • Process renewal property casualty business in a timely and efficient manner to grow revenues and maintain retention and profitability.
  • Examine documents such as application forms, inspection reports, insurance maps, and medical reports to determine risk factors.
  • Request additional information as needed and accept or reject risks according to company guidelines.
  • Underwrite renewal business by reviewing insured's files, producing agency experience, nature and frequency of losses, and prior carrier loss experience.
  • Ensure all required information is obtained, applications are completed, quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings are made, and taxes are paid.
  • Review, analyze, and underwrite risks submitted by Producers, rate submissions for premium and terms, analyze exposures for quotes and renewal business, issue written indications, quotes, and binders.
  • Utilize inspection companies to obtain further information, quote rates, or explain company underwriting policies.
  • Market and meet with retail agency customers to develop business and cultivate relationships to grow a book of business.
  • Foster and improve relationships with other departments, producers, companies, and competitors.
  • Understand and extend Company facilities, utilizing binding authorities or brokering risks to successfully negotiate a placement.
  • Be responsible for underwriting results.
  • Service and perpetuate existing businesses with a keen awareness of priorities.
  • Assist in the training of other personnel, including instructing and training processors and assistants, and reviewing indications, quotes, binders, submissions, and policies for completeness and accuracy.
