About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Project Manager, the Account Manager acts as the primary point of contact between a company and its clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. They are responsible for understanding client needs, developing strategies to meet those needs, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions.

Requirements

  • College degree (Bachelor degree preferred) and /or (2) two years applicable experience in account management
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of Sales, Marketing and Organization Administration.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business information,
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers and other employees
  • Experience in calculating figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
  • Computer/Office Skills: working knowledge of latest Windows Operating Platform, Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); comfortable using the internet for sourcing and obtaining competitive and marketing data.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer minimum of two (2) years working knowledge of the steel and the steel processing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with clients by phone, through email and face-to-face to ensure their needs are understood and addressed
  • Building strong client relationships to maintain existing business and acquire new customers
  • Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure they fulfill all customer requests
  • Resolving complaints and keeping track of all processes that pertain to the client’s desires
  • Document facts regarding various communications both internally and externally and maintain necessary BDI systems to track business transactions
  • Acting as the client’s representative in a firm to ensure their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience
  • Collecting and analyzing data concerning consumer behavior to understand changing needs
  • Travel to customer sites approximately 10%
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
