About The Position

Crestone Services Group is a leading infrastructure-services company in the western United States, specializing in telecommunications, power, and other utility infrastructure construction and maintenance. The organization comprises six operating brands across multiple geographic markets, offering construction, engineering, permitting, restoration and maintenance services. Crestone brings scale, safety, and operational excellence to its clients. The Account Manager is responsible for winning new construction service contracts within the utility, broadband, data center, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors. This is a relationship-driven, client-facing role centered on prospecting, pursuing, and closing new business — it is not a Project Management role and not an Estimating role. Awarded work is transitioned to Crestone's Project Management team, who own execution, delivery, and job profitability; bids and pricing are developed by Crestone's Estimating team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in utility construction, telecommunications/fiber infrastructure, or related civil construction — in an Estimating, Project Management, Superintendent, or Account Management capacity.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Established network and credibility within construction, telecom, or utility sectors.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline from prospecting through close.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in Estimating, Project Management, or Superintendent work within utility construction strongly preferred — candidates should be able to speak credibly to project scope, cost drivers, and risk in client conversations.
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) a plus.
  • Existing relationships with utility, municipal, or telecom clients in our service markets.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors, including micro trenching, telecommunications/fiber installation, directional drilling, and water and sewer infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing client organizations.
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, presentations, and proposals.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
  • Develop customized solutions and proposals aligned with client needs, in coordination with company leadership.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing.
  • Track pipeline, forecast revenue, and report on sales performance.
  • Maintain ongoing client relationships throughout the life of a project, coordinating with the Project Management team as needed.
  • Hand off awarded projects to the Project Management team for execution; this role does not retain responsibility for project delivery or profitability.
