About The Position

Clariant is looking for an Account Manager to drive growth and shape success within our Personal and Home Care division of the Care Chemicals business unit. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to key customers while actively uncovering and developing new opportunities to expand business. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer journey while turning insights into actionable growth strategies. This high-impact position offers the chance to grow accounts, increase share of wallet, manage contracts and pricing, and take proactive steps to secure long-term customer loyalty. This role is a remote position, with a preference for applicants located on the West Coast of the US. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of account management experience, ideally within the Personal and Home Care industries
  • Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple customer touchpoints
  • Strong sales-driven mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen customer relationships to increase satisfaction, trust, and long-term retention
  • Expand share of wallet and deliver year-over-year growth through targeted commercial strategies
  • Improve profitability by leading contracts, pricing, and overdue management activities, provide actionable customer demand insights to support portfolio and planning decisions
  • Reduce churn by identifying risks early and executing retention plans
  • Maintain a high-quality CRM pipeline that supports growth targets
  • Deliver accurate forecasts that enable effective business planning and resource allocation
  • Accelerate new business by partnering with Business Development Managers on opportunity scouting and pipeline expansion
  • Ensure excellent customer experience by coordinating seamlessly with Customer Service teams
  • Operate effectively in a coordinated, multi-point engagement model to strengthen customer outcomes
  • Foster internal trust by communicating clearly, meeting commitments, and driving cross-functional alignment
  • Prioritize key actions that maximize sales impact and support growth objectives
