About The Position

InkShopGuard is a specialty E&S insurance program built exclusively for tattoo shops, body piercers, and related professionals. We handle a high volume of inbound business with a small, tight-knit team and a fast, no-friction approach to underwriting and service. This is not a traditional agency environment. We move quickly, we operate lean, and we hold each other to a high standard. This is a service-first role with a clearly defined path into quoting and underwriting. Your primary job is to take day-to-day servicing work off the team — handling certificates, policy changes, endorsements, and general account management. Once you're consistently handling that work accurately and independently, you'll move into quoting responsibilities for both new and renewal business. You'll report directly to the program VP and work closely day-to-day with our current CSR. Right now we're a team of two, and you'll be the third. This role is designed for someone early in their insurance career who already understands the fundamentals and wants to build real depth in specialty underwriting.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a P&C agency, MGA, or carrier environment
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance fundamentals — you don't need to be taught from scratch
  • Active P&C license, or willingness to obtain one quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple open tasks
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Clear communicator with clients and internal teammates
  • Comfortable in Vertafore AIM, Excel, and Formstack (or similar tools)

Responsibilities

  • Handle client servicing requests; COIs, policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and general account management
  • Issue policies and maintain accurate, organized documentation
  • Manage inbound client communication and respond quickly and professionally
  • Support quoting for new and renewal business using internal rating systems
  • Maintain accurate records in Vertafore AIM and internal tools
  • Market accounts to carriers for non-binding lines when needed
  • Keep files, quotes, and documentation clean and consistent
