About The Position

Quadra, a leading distributor of chemicals and ingredients in North America, is seeking an Account Manager to cover the Quebec province territory. This full-time, permanent position is available due to an employee departure. The role involves managing an existing territory within Quadra's Industrial Chemicals business, with opportunities to leverage strong partnerships, manufacturing bases, and internal resources. The ideal candidate is a sales professional with seasoned expertise to nurture client connections and develop new business. They should possess passion, personality, technical abilities, drive, and diligence. The Account Manager will travel regularly to forge strong customer relationships, communicate the value of Quadra's products and services, and act as a trusted advisor by understanding client needs. Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma preferably in chemistry, science, or business would be an asset
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales role selling in the industrial chemicals market is ideal with a focus on major chemical production, environmental, water treatment, construction and/or agriculture, (HI&I)
  • Expertise to drive new sales, prospecting, qualifying customer’s needs and expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business relationships with prospective customers to generate new business
  • Proven ability in achieving sales targets and KPI’s
  • Possess a high degree of organization, planning, and multi-tasking skills
  • Be comfortable and at ease working in a complex and rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel (about 40%-50% of working time) with overnight travels
  • Proven computer skills and ability to learn and use digital tools. Experience with a CRM like Salesforce would be considered as a strong asset
  • Valid driver’s license & passport

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer and internal relationships, in line with Quadra's core values and strategic vision
  • Sell Quadra's superior product line to potential customers through routine customer visits, joint calls and participation in industry events
  • Develop and utilize internal and external resources, showcasing Quadra’s reputation for service excellence
  • Successfully close new business opportunities by coordinating requirements, skillfully developing proposals, and conducting negotiations that align with contractual requirements, ensuring a mutually beneficial outcome for all parties involved
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and margin objectives
  • Play a crucial role in assisting customers with troubleshooting and identifying optimization opportunities to enhance their experience and maximize their benefits during the development, follow-up and closing of sales opportunities
  • Effectively manage deadlines and handle any emergencies that may arise outside of business hours ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to operations
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements
  • Establish and solidify strong business relationships with key decision makers/influencers to obtain repeat and new sales
  • Prospecting potential customers and current customers for new business / Drive account growth through prospecting and development of key accounts
  • Regular reporting and scheduling utilizing Quadra’s digital tools / Track, analyze and communicate KPI’S to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in the yearly forecasting exercise
  • Delivering presentations, qualifying concerns and closing
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Strategic Industry Managers to market and grow targeted product lines.
