About The Position

Yokogawa, an award-winning provider of industrial automation and other technology solutions, is seeking an Account Manager for the US Southeast Region, specifically focusing on customers in Alabama and surrounding states. This role is crucial for maintaining and expanding relationships with strategic customers, including End Users and Tier 2-3 EPCs, from a corporate perspective. The Account Manager will also build and leverage relationships across customer organizations in Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Operations, and Executive levels. The primary objective is to understand customer business objectives and align them with Yokogawa's capabilities and solutions, leading key contributors to implement solutions that drive meaningful and measurable customer business outcomes. The role also involves increasing Yokogawa's business footprint in assigned accounts and driving new business development by acquiring new logo accounts through advanced solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Engineering Technology/ Business Management.
  • 5+ years in the industrial automation industry selling integrated/network-based process control systems, safety instrumented systems, advanced solutions software applications, and after-market support services.
  • Proactive and success-driven mindset.
  • Firm understanding of Process Automation/Process Control in continuous and batch manufacturing.
  • Experience with technologies such as DCS, SIS, PLC’s, SCADA.
  • Experience with methods of measuring pressure, temperature and flow and analytical systems.
  • Familiarity with customer organizations such as Operations, Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Experience in industries such as Refining, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, Water, and Power Generation.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without requiring future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a regional coverage strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Set the strategic direction for identified corporate accounts, including specific objectives and metrics for growth and profitability.
  • Develop, track, and achieve target KPIs for corporate accounts.
  • Develop and implement formalized business plans for designated accounts to outline opportunities for new business and expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships at selected corporate customers across multiple organizational levels and locations.
  • Build, develop, and lead account teams committed to Yokogawa’s vision and values.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and other supporting functions regarding market trends and other factors affecting sales.
  • Initiate proposals and negotiate through delivery with customers and internal resources to reach long-term business objectives.
  • Conduct accurate and effective forecast and pipeline review meetings with leadership, ensuring lead generation and pipeline growth sustain revenue targets.
  • Participate in regular reviews for all assigned Accounts to review progress against commitments, including performance to plan, CRM pipeline size & quality, CRM utilization, and accounts receivable.
  • Utilize tools and processes (CRM, Forecasting, Account planning) to meet and exceed annual targets within the assigned territory/account base.
  • Work to ensure timely and thorough administration of current Account contracts.
  • Maximize the YCA product portfolio with assigned customers through a “Demand Creation” process.
  • Contribute to the growth of YCA by playing an active and communicative role as a member of the YCA Team.
