About The Position

Account Manager I oversees the daily key account quoting, booking, and general administrative activities on assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of the company's products, competitive products, and the market
  • Ability to handle basic to moderately complex issues.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Access, PowerPoint Presentations)
  • Ability to work required duties under general supervision.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of assigned customer accounts.
  • Matrix management of Customer Service Representative assigned to your accounts.
  • Manage day to day customer and vendor quoting activity.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance to all customer flow down requirements on all customer orders.
  • Work with cross functional team to optimize inventory levels and supplier performance metrics.
  • Review customer activity, anticipate customer needs, and drive customer satisfaction / scorecard metrics.
  • Provide support to account managers with large strategic accounts.
  • Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for assigned accounts as required.
  • Handle Federal Contract Information (FCI) as required.
  • Perform special projects or assignments to support department.
