About The Position

This Account Manager position in Construction involves generating, qualifying, and managing sales leads through effective territory planning, CRM usage, and proactive business development. The role requires conducting professional, face-to-face sales calls, engaging key decision-makers, adapting communication styles, and ensuring customer satisfaction through follow-up. The Account Manager will utilize strong consultative selling skills, including needs assessment, value-based solution alignment, competitive positioning, and closing sales opportunities. Collaboration with sales management to develop and execute customer and account plans aligned with business objectives is essential. The position also demands solid product and solutions knowledge to recommend appropriate equipment, service, support, and financial offerings, along with demonstrated relationship-management skills, cross-functional collaboration, and ownership of customer issues to deliver exceptional after-sale service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the heavy equipment industry and/or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Experience using CRM systems and sales tools to track activity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written.
  • Strong prospecting, lead qualification, and territory management skills to consistently generate new business.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to work independently and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point and other related software.
