About The Position

Towne Insurance is hiring a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for providing professional service to new and existing clients in a timely and accurate manner. This role works closely with risk advisors and other Towne personnel on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal. The ideal candidate will provide professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and Towne colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations. Responsibilities include answering telephone calls from insured customers and handling inquiries about endorsement requests, cancellations, remarkets/rewrites, claims, and other service inquiries. The role also utilizes sales and customer service skills to listen effectively, build rapport, develop needs, provide solutions, and improve client policy retention. The Account Manager will effectively utilize selected third-party systems for customer handling (e.g., carrier sites, Applied Epic) and ensure that all endorsements, audits, cancellations, claims, finance agreements, certificates, and other customer requests are handled in an accurate and timely manner according to procedures.

Requirements

  • Active P&C license or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Prior experience in the commercial lines insurance industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial lines account management.
  • Experience with agency management systems, preferably Applied Epic.
