About The Position

Axis Insurance Managers Inc. is seeking an Account Manager, Commercial Auto to join their Elite team. This role involves demonstrating needs-based sales behavior, building relationships with new and existing customers, managing renewals, and providing excellent customer service. The position also includes administrative tasks related to ICBC inventory and payment processing. Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ Auto insurance experience, consistently meeting internal core competencies.
  • General Insurance Salesperson Level 1 license through the Insurance Council of British Columbia; equivalent license in province of residence with the ability to obtain a British Columbia license; or commitment to obtain a Level 1 license within 6 months of hire.
  • Building relationships – with clients, with underwriters, with colleagues.
  • Staying on top of priorities and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Time management skills.
  • Proactively getting things done; follow up and follow through.
  • Ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Post Secondary Degree considered an asset.
  • Experience using Epic broker management system considered an asset.
  • Commercial Auto insurance experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate needs-based sales behavior and build relationships with new and existing customers, including reactive and tag-on selling, asking for referrals, generating new business, and increasing customer retention.
  • Maintain a diary of prospective/current clients and follow-ups on sales leads.
  • Review and work renewal lists, contacting clients a minimum of 45 days in advance.
  • Ensure all notes to file are completed after each transaction in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Provide friendly, professional service to customers and Account Executives (if applicable).
  • Handle routine customer and Account Executive inquiries/concerns.
  • Take, report, and follow up on claims, as necessary.
  • Return all customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Refer all Personal & Commercial insurance inquiries and X-dates to the appropriate Account Executive, as required.
  • Ensure work is prompt, efficient, and accurate.
  • Maintain ICBC inventory as required.
  • Batch and transmit ICBC documents as required.
  • Close POS machine as required.
  • Process payments.
  • Print and scan files.
  • Ensure all documents are accurate and accounts are kept in an orderly manner.
