About The Position

As a business account manager, you help maintain business relationships with struggling clients for accounts that have a significant impact on the business sector. You balance portfolio profitability with client/partner satisfaction. You serve and maintain personal business relationships with important businesses, associations and groups. The ability to communicate effectively and thoroughly understand clients’ expressed needs is therefore essential. You drive results by actively helping your unit achieve its sales and business development objectives. Your complex work and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of business. You advise and assist clients. You represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements in accordance with current processes, standards and directives. You also have opportunities to establish and negotiate product and service terms. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Intermediate advanced proficiency of English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

Responsibilities

  • Maintain lasting, personal business relationships with clients to promote services
  • Analyze the files of struggling clients and meet with practitioners to establish a turnaround or collections strategy.
  • Determine a course of action and negotiate terms
  • Manage accounts by serving as the link between clients and the organization and ensuring that clients have the products and services they need, are using them correctly, and are satisfied with them
  • Identify and analyze member/client needs and recommend strategies and solutions to achieve objectives
  • Prepare integrated service offers that balance member/client satisfaction, profitability and risk.
  • Negotiate terms.
