About The Position

Novelis is a global leader in aluminum recycling and rolling, providing sustainable aluminum solutions for aerospace, automotive, beverage packaging, and specialty markets. With headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, Novelis operates 32 facilities across 4 continents and employs approximately 13,000 people. The commercial/sales team in Atlanta is seeking an Account Management Specialist for their Automotive Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 0-2+ years of Customer service experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking ability
  • Computer/System skills (SAP, Excel, Power BI, Sales Force, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently handle stressful or conflict situations/interactions with internal and external customers
  • Ability to manage time with minimal supervision and to prioritize multiple projects
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • ERP experience; SAP experience a plus
  • Business to business experience preferred
  • Manufacturing/chemical experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintains customer account demand information for orders or forecasts as part of the Order to Cash process, including inventory and warehouse management with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Aligns customer demand with monthly S&OP guidelines, including plant/alloy/product allocations.
  • Communicates order status and information within work processes to ensure customer service expectations are met or exceeded. Advises customers of changes such as delays, forecast updates, and product availability in collaboration with Commercial and Supply Chain.
  • Works closely with customer contacts to sustain and improve customer service levels, and to develop service relationships with key accounts. Supports the sales function by following up on necessary actions from customer meetings related to account growth and maintenance.
  • Provides support or backup for other customer service-related functions or activities, such as trial orders, initiating new customer master requests, and hedging forward fixed metal.
  • Participates in projects and process improvements, representing customer service, materials, scheduling, and revenue concerns.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to resolve customer concerns.
  • Handles customer issues, including low, mid, and high levels of escalation.
  • Provides training, support, and mentoring to new team members.
