About The Position

Account Executives at Basic Capital own deals end-to-end. This role involves navigating complicated multi-stakeholder processes in a full rip-and-replace sale. While this role will begin by focusing on Basic Capital is a fintech company reimagining America’s $1T retirement system. We’re building the “mortgage for retirement”—unlocking market ownership and making wealth-building accessible to every American. Our team includes leaders from Goldman Sachs, Uber, WeWork, Block, and Robinhood, and we’re backed by top-tier investors including Lux Capital, Forerunner, BoxGroup, SVAngel, Inspired Capital, and Henry Kravis. Based in SoHo, NYC, we’re building a lean, high-performance team focused on tackling wealth inequality at scale.

Requirements

  • Proven top performer in a sales role (1+ years closing or quota-carrying experience preferred)
  • Highly motivated by targets, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • Strong interest in modern sales tooling and automation (e.g., Clay, Unify, Smartlead, HeyReach)
  • High-agency self-starter who takes ownership and drives outcomes
  • Committed to continuous improvement and operating at a high standard

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle: source, qualify, and close new business opportunities
  • Consistently generate pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound follow-up
  • Manage a high volume of activity (100+ touches/day) across channels
  • Drive deals to close within defined ICP (11–99 employee segment)
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting in CRM
  • Partner closely with Growth to refine messaging, targeting, and top-of-funnel strategy
  • Contribute to building repeatable sales processes and GTM playbooks
