About The Position

RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty, is a wholesale distributor of specialty insurance products and services. The Account Executive provides account management and operational support to a wholesale brokerage team, working closely with a Broker to manage new business and renewal activity, prepare market submissions, maintain account documentation, analyze portfolio information, and support consistent, responsive service. The role is suited to an analytical, detail-oriented person who is comfortable working with numbers and using Excel to organize information and identify insights. It also offers opportunities to evaluate technology and AI-enabled tools for improving workflows, reporting, and team efficiency. The role is focused on account management and brokerage operations rather than primarily generating new business or developing into a producer. Over time, the Account Executive is expected to become a trusted operational partner to the Broker, helping manage the existing book of business, support client retention, and strengthen day-to-day processes. The position is based in the Chicago office five days per week. External travel and business development are not primary expectations, though client-facing activities may develop with experience and business needs. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered. One or more years of insurance, account management, operations, financial services, or other relevant professional experience is preferred. Recent graduates with strong analytical skills, relevant coursework, or internship experience may also be considered. Deep insurance expertise is not required. The candidate must be able to meet applicable state property and casualty and surplus lines licensing requirements.
