About The Position

The Eureka Times-Standard, a subsidiary of MediaNews Group, is seeking an Account Executive to develop robust multimedia advertising campaigns for local and regional businesses.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of driving revenue
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship skills
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
  • Must be available for shift work. May be required to work various hours for coverage outside of normal business hours

Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory or category
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of print and digital product portfolios; produce needs analysis and use knowledge to overcome customer objections to result in sales growth
  • Understand how the competition sells their products and services
  • Keep records of products sold and look for ways to increase revenue potential
  • Create market presentations and sales proposals while working with the client’s budget
  • Actively pursue and maintain an understanding of new digital trends in the media industry
  • Analyze and interpret key sales metrics
