About The Position

Certus is a leading provider of workforce training and compliance solutions, helping companies across North America build safer, more capable teams. Through our family of specialized brands — including TPC Training, a Certus company — we deliver expert-led instruction across industrial, technical, safety, and regulatory disciplines. We're expanding our sales team and looking for a seasoned Account Executive who knows how to open doors, build trust with senior stakeholders, and close complex B2B deals. As an Account Executive at Certus, you'll own the full sales cycle — from strategic prospecting to closing. You'll apply a consultative, value-based approach to win new corporate clients and expand existing relationships, helping organizations understand how our training solutions solve real workforce challenges. This is a high-impact role for someone who knows how to build a pipeline, navigate complex organizations, and consistently hit their number.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in corporate training, SaaS, or professional services.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed quota in a full-cycle sales role.
  • Skilled at engaging and influencing executive-level decision-makers and multiple buying constituencies.
  • A consultative seller — you lead with insight, build trust, and position solutions around client outcomes.
  • Strong pipeline discipline: you forecast accurately, move deals forward, and keep your CRM airtight.
  • Excellent communication skills — you're as comfortable presenting to a VP as you are writing a follow-up email.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office; experience with virtual selling platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize target corporate accounts through research, cold outreach, and networking.
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities to maintain a healthy, active sales funnel.
  • Work with Open Seminar customers to grow relationships and secure block purchases.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's business, industry, and challenges — then position Certus solutions that genuinely help.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and value proposition presentations to decision-makers, including senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional Certus products to expand client relationships.
  • Own the full sales cycle from first contact to signed contract.
  • Keep CRM records (Salesforce) accurate and up to date with notes, activity, and pipeline status.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to team planning.
  • Conduct client meetings and product demos via online meeting platforms.
