About The Position

Join our U.S. Public Sector sales team driving digital modernization, security resilience, and mission innovation for Federal Government agencies. As an Account Manager, you will lead enterprise sales engagements, manage customer relationships across defense and civilian programs, and collaborate with internal cross-functional partners—including systems engineering, customer success, channel alliances, and product leadership—to deliver technology solutions aligned with federal agency mission objectives. Our team focuses on driving sustainable business growth by delivering verifiable customer outcomes. We operate in a collaborative sales environment where close partnership across internal engineering teams and external system integrators is central to supporting complex public sector missions.

Requirements

  • Public Sector Software Sales Experience: Minimum 4 years of direct quota-carrying software, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), or cloud technology sales experience selling directly to U.S. Federal Government or Public Sector agencies.
  • Federal System Integrator (FSI) & Partner Teaming: Minimum 2 years of direct experience partnering, co-selling, or embedding software solutions with Federal System Integrators (FSIs) and defense prime contractors on federal program captures.
  • New Business Pipeline Generation: Documented track record of prospecting, qualifying, and closing new software opportunities while expanding existing agency accounts.
  • Travel Requirement: Willingness and ability to travel 30–40% for onsite customer meetings, technical demonstrations, and industry conferences
  • Work Authorization & Clearance Eligibility: Current legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis, and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • Education & Experience Equivalency: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, OR equivalent practical experience (defined as a minimum of 4 years of additional relevant professional software sales experience in lieu of a degree).

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of direct quota-carrying enterprise software sales experience across U.S. Federal Civilian or Department of Defense (DoD) agencies.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) or TS/SCI security clearance with a current background investigation.
  • Current residence in the Washington DC, Virginia, or Maryland (DMV / National Capital Region) metropolitan area.
  • Demonstrated domain experience selling solutions within the cybersecurity, SIEM, enterprise observability, log analytics, zero trust, or AI/ML software markets.
  • Practical proficiency applying structured enterprise sales methodologies (such as MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or Challenger Sale) for account planning and opportunity qualification.
  • Familiarity with federal procurement vehicles, including NASA SEWP, GSA MAS, NIH CIO-SP3/4, and enterprise IDIQs/GWACs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead direct enterprise software and cloud sales engagements across assigned Federal Government accounts, managing the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through contract award and renewal.
  • Partner with cross-functional technical teams (Systems Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Success) to align software capabilities with federal network architectures, zero trust security mandates, data analytics, and cloud infrastructure requirements.
  • Execute territory growth plans that balance short-term transactional sales opportunities with multi-year programmatic enterprise license agreements (ELAs).
  • Co-sell and partner with Federal System Integrators (FSIs), Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and prime contractors to embed Cisco and Splunk technologies into federal contract vehicles and program capture pursuits.
  • Deliver structured product demonstrations, business justifications, and executive-level briefings to agency program managers, Chief Information Officers (CIOs), and procurement officials.
  • Maintain accurate quarterly pipeline forecasting, territory plans, and opportunity qualification metrics in CRM tools.
