About The Position

Rise.ai is looking for an Account Executive to own and grow revenue through both inbound and outbound sales. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, builds their own pipeline, and closes deals without needing a step-by-step playbook. You'll need strong business instincts, comfort with ambiguity, and a genuine drive to get merchants not just to buy, but to actively use and rely on the product. Rise.ai is a leading eCommerce store credit and gift cards solution trusted by top-tier brands such as Skims, Dr Squatch, Fenty Beauty, Universal Music Studios, and Kroger. Our platform manages and optimizes all aspects of store credit activity, including gift cards, memberships, loyalty programs, refunds, cashback, and reporting reconciliation, empowering brands to enhance customer engagement, foster loyalty, and drive substantial revenue growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Sales or Business Development role in eCommerce, SaaS, MarTech, Payments, or adjacent tech sectors.
• Proven track record of building pipeline and closing deals independently, with both inbound and outbound experience.
• Familiarity with Shopify merchants, partners, agencies, and integrations.
• Business-savvy and comfortable working without a rigid playbook: you can navigate ambiguity, set your own priorities, and create structure where little exists.
• Experience in SMB or high-velocity sales environments where volume, product adoption, and actual usage are the real measures of success.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the Full Sales Motion: Drive both inbound and outbound pipeline end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification through demo, negotiation, and close.
• Execute Outbound Strategies: Proactively identify, engage, and qualify prospects through tailored outreach and messaging that resonates with eCommerce merchants.
• Manage Inbound Interest: Qualify and convert inbound leads efficiently, prioritizing opportunities with the strongest fit for long-term adoption and usage.
• Deliver Value-Driven Demos: Run consultative, tailored product demonstrations that connect Rise.ai capabilities to real merchant pain points and growth goals.
• Build Merchant Relationships: Develop strong relationships with merchants, brands, and key eCommerce players to drive pipeline and long-term retention.
• Track and Optimize Performance: Monitor your own pipeline health and KPIs, report on commercial performance, and continuously improve conversion and process efficiency.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Align with marketing on lead quality, campaign performance, and go-to-market execution; coordinate with customer success for smooth post-close onboarding and adoption.
• Stay Sharp: Keep pace with Shopify ecosystem developments, competitive dynamics, and product updates to position Rise.ai effectively at every stage of the sales cycle.

Benefits

• Approximate base compensation is $110,000 - $135,000/yr.
• In addition to the base pay this role includes variable compensation earned and company RSUs as part of the compensation package.
