Account Executive, New Business

Rhythm Software, Inc.•Remote (Georgia), GA

About The Position

Rhythm is building the next generation of its platform for trade and professional associations: a modern, AI-first technology platform supporting membership and dues, certifications and continuing education, events, financial operations, and other association needs. The Account Executive, New Business will take this platform to market and own new-business sales from the first conversation through signed contract. This is a consultative, multi-stakeholder sales role rather than a high-volume dialing position. The Account Executive will work directly with the founder, partner with a Solutions Engineer on demonstrations, and contribute to how Rhythm positions, sells, and improves its product. Typical opportunities have annual software values of $15,000–$80,000, with implementation projects often ranging from $15,000–$40,000. Sales cycles generally run 3–8 months and involve multiple decision-makers; the role may manage 25–30 active opportunities at a time. The position is open to candidates currently based in Georgia.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience selling B2B software or SaaS, including direct responsibility for closing deals and carrying a quota.
  • Experience with sales cycles of 3 months or longer that require meaningful discovery, follow-up, and consensus-building.
  • Proven multi-stakeholder or enterprise-style selling, including presentations to buying committees and executive decision-makers.
  • A track record of quota attainment and examples of personally advancing and closing complex deals.
  • Confident discovery, negotiation, and pipeline management skills.
  • Reliable CRM habits and strong written communication.
  • Currently reside in Georgia.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with associations, professional societies, nonprofits, or member-based organizations.
  • Familiarity with association management systems (AMS), learning management systems (LMS), event technology, fundraising, or related software.
  • Experience with formal RFPs, data migrations, integrations, and implementation-dependent sales.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle sales: qualify, discover, demonstrate, propose, negotiate, and close complex opportunities.
  • Conduct thoughtful discovery into prospects’ membership, education, events, and financial workflows, and connect their needs to an appropriate solution.
  • Partner with a Solutions Engineer to deliver tailored demonstrations focused on each buying team’s needs.
  • Build relationships with executives, department leaders, finance teams, IT advisors, and board members, and navigate RFPs and formal evaluations when needed.
  • Build proposals, manage pricing conversations, negotiate terms, and maintain a realistic sales forecast.
  • Document promises, requirements, and context to support successful customer handoffs to the implementation team.
  • Keep HubSpot current with next steps, stakeholders, close dates, and competitive insights.
  • Provide feedback and learn from sales wins and losses.
