About The Position

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Alexandria, VA territory in a unique military community-based opportunity. This role involves supporting Grand Canyon University students by providing educational, operational, and technological support services. The Account Executive will play an integral role in guiding students from application through to the completion of their initial classes, focusing on non-traditional students and their success through quality education. The position emphasizes a community-based approach with ambitious targets, requiring independent work, critical thinking, and a passion for serving others.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in credit report. If in rehabilitation program, credit report must reflect current, not delinquent, payments.
• Outstanding time management skills, including prioritizing competing priorities while traveling.
• Clear communication skills (in person, writing, phone) and well-developed listening skills.
• Self-motivation and drive to succeed; volunteering for new challenges.
• High emotional intelligence, ability to demonstrate empathy.
• A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule.
• Clean driving record and ability to use personal vehicle.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel extensively within the territory.
• Willingness to work some evenings and/or weekends for events.

• Relevant industry-related professional experience (enrollment, recruiting, counseling).
• Experience working with CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and implementing event/activity plans for the territory to build awareness of online academic programs in education, healthcare, and business, and to drive inquiry generation.
• Shaping high-impact partnerships for the territory and executing daily work through informational presentations, calls, and emails.
• Providing exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners on their journey to enrollment through various mediums (in-person, phone, email).
• Championing the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
• Supporting prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process and guiding them towards a successful online learning experience.
• Working independently and using critical thinking skills to achieve ambitious targets.
