About The Position

Motion is a fast-growing company that has developed a new category of software to bridge the gap between performance marketers and creative teams. Our platform integrates creative analytics, research, and strategy, serving as a command center for Creative Strategists. We work with top e-commerce and DTC brands, analyzing significant media spend. As an early member of our sales team, you will be instrumental in setting the standard for success and are viewed as a future leader within the company. This role is responsible for driving net new and expansion revenue, managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to close, and approaching clients as future partners for collaboration. You will advise prospects on implementing effective Performance Creative processes using Motion, employing a consultative selling approach to demonstrate how the Motion platform addresses workflow challenges.

Requirements

  • Business development experience at a performance marketing agency.
  • Live in Canada (ideally the Greater Toronto Area) or the United States.
  • Approaches everyday with the intention of improving at your craft.
  • Elite self-reflection skills with the ability to identify where to improve + ideas around how to improve.
  • Strong performance / presentation skills (a plus if you have public speaking or theatre experience!).
  • No ego: Ego typically blocks the path to improvement - we want to focus a ton on how to improve quickly and not be slowed down by ego.
  • Instantly likeable and trustworthy.
  • Extremely ambitious and unafraid of the grind.
  • Strong critical thinking: You’re sharp and able to develop opinions on the role, team, and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive net new and expansion revenue.

  • Hunt for larger deals (approximately 60% outbound).
