About The Position

VIATechnik is looking for an Account Executive for its growing Mechanical & Plumbing (M&P) studio, Roots M&P. This role is responsible for both deepening and expanding relationships with an existing client base and acquiring new clients in the M&P trade contractor market. The Account Executive will own the client relationship from the initial contact through renewal and expansion, collaborating with delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction. This position requires a consultative sales approach and a focus on client retention and growth within a services environment.

Requirements

  • Managed and grown a book of business in a professional services or construction technology environment.
  • Equal energy for retaining existing clients and opening new ones.
  • Consultative selling approach, leading with insight and building trust through understanding operational challenges.
  • Comfortable in a high-autonomy environment where results are visible and accountability is real.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with delivery or operations teams.
  • Ability to see selling and client success as the same job.
  • US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of existing M&P clients, developing account-specific growth plans.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients' stakeholders.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews.
  • Achieve a retention rate of 90% or higher on renewals.
  • Partner with operations and delivery teams to address issues and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Manage a pipeline of net-new M&P contractor prospects in Salesforce.
  • Respond to inbound leads within 24 hours and qualify them rigorously.
  • Conduct consultative discovery and proposal processes with a conversion rate of 60% or better.
  • Build pipeline through direct outreach, referrals, RFPs, and industry events, including trade shows.
  • Lead monthly pipeline reviews.
  • Produce forecasts within plus or minus 10% of actuals.
  • Utilize data to make informed decisions about time allocation.
