About The Position

The Professional & Executive Lines (ProEx) Account Executive manages a complex assigned book of management liability business, serving as the primary client-facing consultant and technical expert. The AE is responsible for coordinating, negotiating, and placing management liability coverage for publicly traded, privately held, and nonprofit organizations across all industries and risk profiles. Coverage lines include Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability, Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Cyber Liability/Data Security, Crime/Fidelity, Fiduciary Liability, Kidnap/Ransom & Extortion, and Errors & Omissions (E&O). The AE partners closely with ProEx Account Managers and HUB colleagues to deliver exceptional client outcomes and retain and grow the book of business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • 5+ years of insurance industry experience in management liability / professional lines (brokerage preferred)
  • Property & Casualty License required
  • Must be able to read a financial statement
  • Deep technical expertise in management liability coverage lines including D&O, EPL, Cyber, Crime, Fiduciary, K&R, and E&O.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing with internal and external customers, including C-suite and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively present complex coverage information and respond to questions from senior client executives, colleagues, and carrier partners.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify coverage gaps, evaluate market alternatives, and develop optimal program structures.
  • Strong negotiation skills with carrier underwriting teams; ability to achieve competitive terms and manuscript endorsements.
  • Desire to lead, mentor, and develop junior team members in technical proficiency and workflow execution.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships; work effectively with insurance carriers and service vendors to deliver results.
  • Ability to efficiently gather pertinent information and facts, analyze complex exposures, and solve problems timely and thoroughly.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities in order to complete assignments on time and with optimal accuracy.
  • Computer skills: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and agency management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all accounts assigned to the team, owning accountability for questions, issues, and escalations throughout the policy lifecycle.
  • Partners with the ProEx Account Manager and broader ProEx resources to deliver best-in-class policy terms and ensure all renewal process milestones are met on schedule.
  • Provides mentorship and technical guidance to the Account Manager on coverage analysis, market strategy, and workflow execution.
  • Reviews and approves all client-facing deliverables — including proposals, policy comparisons, and benchmarking reports — prepared by the Account Manager to ensure accuracy, completeness, and professional presentation.
  • Conducts in-depth policy reviews on new and renewal placements to identify coverage gaps, secure current marketplace enhancements, and confirm program adequacy relative to the client's risk profile.
  • Negotiates terms, conditions, pricing, and manuscript endorsements with carrier underwriting teams following a thorough internal analysis of the client's exposures, financial profile, and coverage needs.
  • Consults directly with client stakeholders — including C-suite executives, Board members, General Counsel, and Risk Management — delivering professional, consultative guidance on management liability risk and program design.
  • Collaborates with producing brokers and account teams to identify cross-sell opportunities and add coverage lines to existing accounts where client exposures warrant.
  • Creates and presents management liability benchmarking reports using industry databases, providing clients with peer-comparison data and market context for their coverage programs.
  • Maintains alignment between HUB corporate objectives, carrier partnership requirements, and client coverage needs across all placement activities.
  • Ensures all client service needs are promptly and professionally delivered, either directly by the AE or via HUB colleagues.
  • The AE is accountable for the competence, timeliness, and quality of all deliverables.
  • Works cooperatively and professionally with Account Team colleagues to deliver HUB services, using the interface as an opportunity to teach, train, and mentor team members.
  • Complies with HUB procedures and state/federal insurance regulations.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
