Account Executive, GalileoX Partnerships

Galileo LearningOakland, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Galileo Learning is seeking an Account Executive for GalileoX Partnerships to join their high-growth team. This role is pivotal in expanding educational impact nationwide by driving new partnerships with community-based organizations (CBOs), charter networks, and small-to-mid-size school districts. The Account Executive will manage the higher-velocity end of the pipeline, focusing on deals typically in the $25K–$75K range. Responsibilities include conducting consultative discovery, identifying staff capacity and curriculum gaps, and presenting customized solutions that integrate with existing systems. Every interaction is an opportunity to drive revenue and gather market insights. Success in this role requires building self-sourced pipelines, managing multiple stakeholders, timing outreach with public funding cycles, and contributing to a scalable sales playbook. This position is crucial for fueling Galileo's growth engine, enabling program scaling, and bringing STEAM programming to K-8 students.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of full-cycle, quota-carrying closing experience in customer-facing, revenue-driving sales roles with a demonstrated track record of hitting numbers.
  • Demonstrated expertise selling within K-12 Education, SLED (State, Local, Education), charter networks, or community-based educational organizations (CBOs).
  • Strong working knowledge of public school system operations, including district administrative structures, board approvals, RFPs, and public education funding streams (such as ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and Title I).
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with a relentless growth mindset, with a proven ability to self-source sales pipeline, and the drive to manage high-velocity deal cycles measured in weeks rather than quarters.
  • Strong consultative selling instincts with the discipline to run deep discovery, diagnose customer pain points, and disqualify early when fit is lacking.
  • An operations self-starter and innovator who is comfortable navigating ambiguous challenges, motivated to co-create sales processes, and dedicated to execution.
  • A strong communicator with proven excellence in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, capable of persuading diverse audiences and articulating complex educational solutions simply.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and comfort using pipeline data to manage daily and weekly priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Inspired by Galileo's mission and purpose; eager to participate in a professional, welcoming, camp-inspired culture.

  • Close multi-stakeholder deals with buyers including program directors, assistant superintendents, district coordinators, site leaders, and finance heads and align solution proposals to public education funding cycles (such as ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and Title I).
  • Proactively promote joy across all partner interactions, leading with humor, optimism, and enthusiasm while holding a high bar for sales excellence and professionalism.
  • Self-source a significant share of your pipeline through active outbound prospecting while qualifying inbound leads and SDR referrals.
  • Map and target K-12 school districts, charter management organizations, and CBOs both within California and across strategic expansion territories.
  • Represent GalileoX at afterschool, expanded learning, and SLED (State, Local, Education) conferences and convenings.
  • Recognize enterprise-scale opportunities early and hand them off cleanly to executive sales leadership.
  • Complete intensive onboarding and independently own end-to-end sales conversations within the first month.
  • Pressure-test pitch messaging, capture objection-handling insights, and document your reps to help codify the GalileoX sales playbook.
  • Embrace a culture of learning and reflection, extracting lessons from every customer interaction to continuously improve the go-to-market approach.
  • Adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of diverse educational stakeholders and varying regional markets.
  • Deliver accurate, trustworthy CRM data with pristine stage hygiene, clear next steps, and realistic close dates.
